  : close to train station and short walk into city centre.
  : 1. Welcomed by a locked door with a note to advise to go to another hotel to check in (with no directions) only to be sent back to original address when checked in 2. Cash only payment with no receipt. We didn’t have cash on us so ended up paying more than quoted in GBP as we had to use the ATM with crazy exchange rates, only to find a chip & pin machine by the desk 3. Couldn’t shower without turning off and waiting 2-3 times mid shower as the shower flooded the bathroom 4. No hot water reported at 6:30am, no response from staff until after 11am to say “ok”, to find there was still no hot water in the afternoon. Wasnt fixed or even looked at until after 5pm 5. No cleaning service so no fresh towels / bedding for 3 days and had to go out and buy our own toilet roll 6. Mouldy shower tray, head and bathroom ceiling 7. No sound proofing, could hear every movement from neighbouring rooms and the restaurant downstairs until late

  : Ok how should I start:First the area is very sketchy, I wouldn’t recommend anybody to walk around that area later than 11pm. it is also pretty noisy and I struggled to fall asleep until midnight because of course windows isolate loud people like Mario Balotelli behave. they simply don’t The building is almost run-down, I don’t get why such a building is so full of hotels and hostels, not only that vomit-causing guesthouse which is Golden Ratio.The bedroom I booked, a single, was yes at a relative affordable price (38€ a night) but it was the worst thing I’ve ever seen: the room is not only minuscule itself, just as wide as a single bed + a person standing). It’s dusty, dirty, it smells like a mix of smoke and regrets.I didn’t tell you about the bathroom: not only the toilet doesn’t have its cover, so you should sit directly on the icy ceramic freezing your butt cheeks (cold should hinder the spread of bacteria so that’s a plus). in the morning I dared to take for granted that I could’ve showered, little I know that there was no hot water and I quote “it won’t be available until 10am” which by the way is the checkout time.Please everyone I beg you, do not book a room at Golden Ratio unless it’s for your worst enemy and he/she is allergic to dust.
