  : Beautiful property which strikes a balance between old charm and new amenities. We loved the fact it was a converted monastery! The gardens were beautiful and it was peaceful to have breakfast there. Room was spotless and bed was super comfortable.
  : Bathroom was a bit small, shower was quite cramped and toilet was oddly very small.

  : The building itself - It is simply beautiful. The common areas, hallways and garden are so elegant. The serving staff, cleaners, and Ian the bell boy were also lovely.
  : For a four star hotel our Executive room was somewhat disappointing. The soundproofing was very poor. We were woken between 5-6am every morning by delivery vehicles, laundry collection, glass collection etc. The bathroom was very outdated, no dressing gowns, no coffee machine, and (strangest of all) two paper cups (a china cup and saucer would have been nice). The buffet breakfast was extensive. A large choice of food. Unfortunately the bacon and sausages were very greasy though, and a $5 extra charge for an omelette rather unnecessary in a 4 star establishment. Also milk had to be requested which was also strange. Finally we found the reception staff to be polite, but a little cold and unwelcoming (sorry not being unkind but that was our impression).

  : Do not use booking.com to make reservations. I paid a SUBSTANTIAL premium over booking directly from the property and in the case of this Rome hotel got a substantially lesser room for the money. No room service or even a breakfast buffet was available and I had to walk across the street to get to my room. Booking.com cost me MORE money for a lesser room. Do your own research and avoid booking.coms substantial and unjustified premiums.

  : Lovely peaceful location, yet still only a short walk from the centre of Trastevere. Beautiful buildings. Comfy bed. Delicious breakfast. Staff very attentive.
