  : The Art Hotel feels tucked away in a quiet street away from the hurly burly of the Spanish steps, and has a wonderful passageway lit with elegant lighting to guide the weary traveller to the doors (which open automatically as you approach them). The main reception/restaurant area is located in a beautiful part of the building which has been sympathetically decorated and has a good mix of modern and more traditional art works. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and could not have been more helpful in helping us book a taxi to take us to the airport at the end of our stay. If you like a good range of options for breakfast, you will not be disappointed!
  : We received a few emails prior to our arrival from the hotel letting us know that there seemed to be issues with our advance payment for the room. This proved to be rather stressful for us as it left us worrying that we were going to arrive and find that our reservation was not being honoured. In fact, the hotel acknowledged that the issue was not ours but part of a security feature applied by our bank. We would suggest that the tone of the emails sent out prior to guests' arrival is amended and that there is a note to say that payment on arrival would be acceptable. The room was great but whilst there were coffee facilities, there was no tea or kettle available; my wife does not drink coffee. And the room walls are thin; we heard other guests talking, using their bathrooms and slamming their doors both very late at night and very early in the mornings.

  : The location was wonderful. The quiet little street it is on was sort of magical. Picturesque.
  : The staff - hmm some were nice. A couple were pretty curt, bordering on rude. And not just to me but I overheard a staff person speak rudely to another guest. Maybe she was having a bad day but she was definitely out of line speaking in that manner to a customer. Also my room - which could have been soooo cute - was riddled with mold. I just could not stay there, my health being delicate and Im sensitive to my environs. I broke out in a rash on my hands from the one night I did stay there. I did not shower for fear of releasing the mold spores into the air. I hate to write a negative review because I have a small business myself. But - For over $500 USD a night I expected more, Im sorry
